Born in Wales, UK, I qualified as a primary school teacher and had many blissful years teaching in Taunton before I moved to Australia as a young adult. Not long after settling in Melbourne, I met my husband, Peter and we have since been blessed with two beautiful children.

Ever since I can remember I have had a love affair with words.  Words can last a lifetime if we take the time to value their importance.

I had been married for 3 years and was very happy teaching at a local primary school when I attended a wedding that I believe was the most memorable I have ever seen. And it was the words that did it. The wedding wasn't the most elaborate or expensive, but it was the most touching and beautiful. It was at this moment that I decided to become a qualified civil marriage celebrant. Everyone deserves a ceremony like that.
